Holiday escape is an endless runner team production game made by the Pittsburgh International Game Developers Association using Unity. This project was made during December as a fun game to create of a snowman running down a cliff to avoid the snowball hurdling towards him. The video above I made using  Camtasia 9, Premiere to combine all of the video shots plus the audio used, and Handbrake to compress the video as an MP4 movie file.

I also helped out in this game jam by making the snowflake particle effect, the UI buttons, creating the main title screen using Photoshop, adjusting the music files in Audacity so they would loop adequately, animating the snowman character using Maya, and helping with the code for when the game loads. Below are two videos showing the snow particle effect looping and the animation of the snowman as a turntable.

The next step was to create the sky for the game. I used Photoshop to create the atmosphere and a filter that allowed myself to be able to create all of the sides to be used inside of Unity. I then began to help by making the main title screen for the game and the UI buttons. I used Photoshop as I started my process in the making of what was required for the game's main title screen and buttons. Below are images showing my progress for each phase of the main title screen, the UI buttons, the border image that was used for when the text is displayed, and each image for the sky.

Credits go to Kit Gardner, Sam Robinson, Holly Gardner, Jason Runkel, Tommy Yoder, Josh Perusse, and many more listed in the credits reel in the game file for the making of this fantastic game!
