Status Effect UE4
Status Effect Pack for UE4
Status effects that I made in the Unreal Engine 4 version 4.21. I had fun taking my materials that were made in the Dissolve Effect Pack and editing them to lerp from flesh to another state like a burnt rock for example. In this video, you will see how I take the UE4 mannequin and a male character to show you how these materials will work in your project(s).
This pack contains a 3D Box, Spherical, Gradient, Simple Noise, and Voronoi materials that you can adjust to fit your needs.
I ran into an issue while making this pack on getting the ghost effect to render properly. The issue was when I was lerping between the flesh to ghost state the mesh vanished. The vanishing act would happen with the Fresnel node which was a setback to publishing this pack.
To remedy this, I began to research how others were using the Fresnel node to get a better idea of how to use that node to achieve what I wanted to provide. After countless attempts of editing the ghost material, I finally was able to see the ghost outline when I lerped the dissolve values.
Below, are images to show you how one of the materials is set up and a closer look at how the effects look like.
