Blue Flame VFX Effect
Inspired by God of War on the PS4, I wanted to see if I could make a blue flame effect in Unity sort of like the one seen when you help the spirits. Made it different of course ;). I used Photoshop to create the flame and sparks, Maya to sculpt out a model for the flame to sit on, I used Mudbox to texture that model, Photoshop to add scratches to the textures, including making of the normal map, and then I exported the model with textures into Unity.
I then began adjusting the particle effect system until I was happy with the results. I then coded a triggered event to when the player enters the collider the flame starts with a sound, and when you exit the flame stops to save on performance. Thank you for watching!
